Credentials in Psychotherapy

William M. Boylin, Ph.D. is a marriage and family therapist and systems psychotherapist. He was a supervising psychologist and director of family services at the Connecticut Valley Hospital's Addiction Services Division in Middletown, Connecticut. He is licensed as a marriage and family therapist and as a substance abuse counselor. He previously worked for 15 years at Altobello, an adolescent psychiatric hospital in Meriden, Connecticut. For over 10 years he has coordinated a family therapy consultation group with other therapists and mentored many young therapist interns in the practice of psychotherapy.

Dr. Boylin was an Associate Professor in Clinical Psychiatry at the University of Connecticut Medical School, and an adjunct faculty member at several other schools. He has published numerous articles related to experimental family therapy and recently published his first book, Bedlam. For the past 20 years he has held a private practice in Middlefield, Connecticut.
